Toricho in Nerima is a famous place for raw chicken. However the telephone number is not opened to public so many couldn’t get hold of a reservation.
Toricho is a small shop run by a couple. Because they serve raw chicken (and even offals) as a specialty, their chicken are killed in the morning and will not be kept overnight. So how does raw chicken taste like…
Actually I was quite surprised because the chicken does not have any stinky smell that you might often encounter. I guess this is related to the quality of the chicken as well as hot the chicken were raised. The taste of raw chicken is of course not as strong as cooked chicken, but it does has a little bit of sweetness of the meat. My favourite was the minced chicken meatball, Chicken breast tataki, Chicken Namban, and the udon in the chicken foie gras hotpot.

So how do you book this place if there’s no public number? Is it invitation-only?
Kinda like an invitation only place but less strict. My friend has the number.
Ah, I see. Okay, no worries. Hope all’s well!
