Karuizawa (軽井沢) the School of Malt aged 21 years, sherry butt cask no. #9091.

This reminded me of the Karuizawa 10 years, original bottling. Unlike the typical Karuizawa, it has a calvados note, slightly savoury, with hints of floral, spices, nutty aromas. The finish lingers longer than expected, but still a medium length. Continue reading →
