My first stop in Osaka was at “Wad”. It happened to be a rainy afternoon and that probably made it trickier to locate, but managed it in the end.
Wad is one of the popular and chic tea houses in Osaka, highly rated by both locals and foreign visitors alike. They serve traditional Japanese tea and sweets in a porcelain-themed environment.
The best desert was the ice shavings – with a texture so smooth it feels like a spoonful of freshly fallen snow. Quite amazed with the quality.
As for the tea, I went for their genmaicha and hojicha, both strong and flavourful. Nothing like a small quiet corner in the city to rest your legs and enjoy some Japanese tea and sweets.
