Saryouhousen (茶寮宝泉) is a famous tea house found in Kyoto, brewing tea since 1907.
The business is run out of a traditional Japanese building, the wood and earthy elements in its surroundings and construction exudes a Buddhist zen feel.
The seats are already packed with locals by 10am, all here to enjoy the serenity in the tea room.
Their wagashi are freshly made daily, so that limits the selection to about 5 to 6. On top of that, they offer warabi mochi and red bean soup too.
