Tenzushi (天寿し), Fukuoka

When I first visited Fukuoka, I preferred Tokyo and Kyoto. But after visiting Fukuoka for a few times, I started to like it. It’s a place that you can walk around a chill. You can stop by some random ramen or gyoza shop. Most likely they would be good. You get great udon shops, izakaya and even unagi shop there. (Actually one of my favourite unagi shops is in Fukuoka)  Most importantly, the food comes in a ‘cheaper’ price tag when compared to food in Tokyo and Kyoto. When you are having a lot of stress to make a reservation in Tokyo or Kyoto, maybe you should opt for something simple in Fukuoka.

Tenzushi is one of the famous to-go sushi restaurant for foodies. After all it ranked first on Tabelog for quite some years before Sushi Saito and Sushi Sugita topped the list. It’s probably not an easy place to get in, but it worth a try. Tenzushi is very unique on its own. Just by the look of it, you can tell that it’s not like any other sushi restaurant. Their sushi are innovative and good.

It’s actually quite interesting to see people around the world to fly in for sushi in Fukuoka. At least I was one of them. There are quite a few famous sushi spot that people often visit. Sakai is one of them.
