Finally Bvlgari il Ristorante found its way into this year’s Tokyo Michelin Guide. One of Bvlgari Tokyo’s signature should be their handmade jewelry-like chocolates. Bvlgari sources cacao beans from far flung places like Venezuela and Madagascar – and turns them into irresistible dark chocolates, and often decorated in edible gold or silver.
It’s been three years since I last had a taste of their chocolate. Bvlgari’s exquisitely priced chocolates are nestled in a box fit for a proposal ring. The chocos being among the most expensive I have seen. A single piece of chocolate would cost northwards of 600 yen – some even reaching a stratospheric 1,500 yen.
Setting wise however, the il Bar was less than impressive. Window views are all of nearby buildings, but if you’re seated right you’d catch a glimpse of the Tokyo tower.
A better place for a drink would be its terrace – La Terrazza Lounge.
