Having tried both the Pichon Baron 1988 and its second wine Les Tourelles de Longueville of the same vintage, it is safe to say the second wine came in so much weaker than its first label cousin.

Les Tourelles de Longueville 1988
The wine was quite straightforward with a leathery, smoky, woody and herbal nose, some dark fruits, hints of dark chocolate and pepper spices. The acidity and tannins have pretty much faded out, and had limited development. The wine is past its peak.
