As a young sushi chef in the sushi scene, Ishiyama San gained quite a lot of attention especially among foreigners.
With his ability to communicate with customers in simple English, his small restaurant located down the alley was packed with diners on a weekday.
My favourite piece was the Katsuo, Nodoguro, his tamago. I would say he does pretty good sushi and it’s a place that I would like to return. Most importantly, it’s not that difficult to get a reservation, I booked it two weeks in advance and could still get two seats!

So many people have been raving about this place, is it really that good? I just love nodoguro…
I loved the nodoguro. I wouldn’t mind to go back, but as a young chef he is good.
