After I was struck by my experience in Kawamura, I thought it’s hard to find another steak place that I will really like in Tokyo and I wouldn’t have a strong desire to revisit other steakhouses.
Although steak in Kawamura remains to be the next level steak for me, Shima is a restaurant with very good cost performance.
Portions at Shima is huge compared to other steak house in Tokyo. The steak at Shima isn’t so fatty (probably thats because of the choice of meat), the steak are more ‘meaty’ than ‘marbling’. A full course came with a reasonable price: about 25,000 yen and a lunch course is 15,000 yen!
