My meal at Atelier Crenn topped the list of the worst meal of the year in 2015.

I might sound like an angry diner but in fact I was not alone.

There were around 10 well-travelled food lovers dining on the same night, and all were very disappointed. Some ordered the restaurant to stop serving, while some grumbled all the way till the end. Everyone left the restaurant unsatisfied.

Maybe it was a bad day for the chef in the kitchen, who wasn’t Crenn actually.

Presentation was remarkable, I loved their tableware, their plates, they are all tailored to the dish itself. Yet, it could not compensate on the taste. The ingredients used was not fresh enough, the flavour and texture combination was weird for me. Melon Puree with Lobster Sashimi was the dish that I did not want to finish.

I don’t think I would give this place another shot.
