Fook Lam Moon(福臨門), Hong Kong

Fook Lam Moon is my to-go restaurant for Chinese food in Hong Kong, whether it’s lunch or dinner.

However, this might not be a place that foreigners would like, especially when you have no idea on what you should order, you might end up with some medicore dishes on your table.

There are very limited restaurants in Hong Kong that serves traditional style cantonese food. Among all the old shops like Lin Heung Lau, Luk Yu, I prefer Fook Lam Moon. The ingredients that they use are much better, and their cooking techniques are more sophisticated. (there are some nice dishes in those restaurants too, but in general Fook Lam Moon has more guaranteed food quality). For dinner, the suckling pig (you have to order a whole pig), is the thing that you should order, stir fried pigeon and steam fish is a good option too. End your meal with the steam red bean mochi, it will make your day.
