With all the foodie friends, we did a big tour in San Sebastian and visited a lot of Michelin restaurants. Exterbarri is my favorite in the trip. It’s definitely a place that I would not hesitate to revisit. He’s the wood grill master for sure.
Everything is minimal, traditional, simply grilled over an oven with real wood. But its food is just amazingly fresh. The prawns from Palamos are the most divine dish in the menu, followed by the slightly grilled red tuna. Another thing that we all loved was the butter of goat’s milk with black salt. I could finish a basket of bread just with that butter (of course I didn’t as I wanted to save the space for the grilled dishes, but it was THAT good). If you are ever going to San Sebastian or Bilbao, just go to Etxebarri and you can ignore the rest if you don’t have enough time. heh heh.
