Jade Dragon, Macau

I haven’t had a great Chinese meal in a while. THIS was an emotional experience, everything surprised me starting from the appetizer to the petit four. “Why did this restaurant get one star only?” was the only question that was left in my head after the meal.

We had a big meal, even the portions were big, but we just couldn’t help but to scope everything that was on our plate. The Iberico Char Siu is my all time favourite at Jade Dragon. The Crab claw were huge but it was perfectly cooked with very fresh spring onions, amazing sauce to go with the dish. The tossed noodles was very delicious as well as it’s made with pig oil (the most traditional way to do it).

The key to really good Cantonese cuisine, or maybe even for any other cuisine, is the ingredients. Even with simple cooking method, it could do magic on your plate.

Our crazy foodie group went to the Eight on the same day, but the Eight didn’t impressed us as much as Jade Dragon.
